London 1986: fashion, excess and the purest of pop. A group of French friends gather at ChaChaCha for a hedonistic farewell party for their beloved DJ and friend as he returns home. Relishing the songs of the moment and escaping into the fantasies of their nocturnal world, they are forced to question the depths of their friendships as the emergence of AIDS begins to decimate their community.
Can real love transcend the dance floor when the lights finally come on?
An original Cabaret creation made by Jamie Bradley with ENSATT students, featuring French and English 80s pop songs, Is This Love is a celebration of a defining moment in popular culture and transports us back to an alluring and complex world that is long lost.

Londres 1986 : mode, excès et pure pop ! Un groupe d'amis français se réunit au ChaChaCha pour une fête d'adieu à leur DJ et ami bien-aimé. Se délectant des chansons du moment et s'évadant dans les fantasmes de leur monde nocturne, ils s'interrogent également sur la profondeur de leurs amitiés alors que leur monde change et que l'émergence du SIDA commence à décimer leur communauté. Le véritable amour peut-il transcender la piste de danse lorsque les lumières s'allument enfin ?
Une création originale de Cabaret réalisée avec les élèves et Jamie Bradley, comprenant des chansons pop françaises et anglaises, Is This Love est une célébration d'un moment décisif de la culture populaire et nous transporte dans un monde séduisant et complexe depuis longtemps perdu.
