ARCHEOLOGY II

Jamie Bradley
James Cabaniuk
Neil Haas

Sissies was a two day exhibition in the Dean Barwick Church Hall, Witherslack, Cumbria.

It was safe to be soft

Featuring work that draws from the context of growing up in post industrial/rural areas where competing with the masculinity that is formed in to those areas isn’t possible, so alliances formed with women in cosy spaces offered respite; it was safe to be soft. In those hard places joy was found over baking and gossip.

Open to the public, the show featured tea and cakes made by the three artists.

The show was intended as a reunion.

Open 1- 4 pm Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2017
